Travel Ghana with Moon&Star guesthouse
Ghana vacation – Discover Ghana with Moon&Star guesthouse
Travelling around Ghana, can you do that on your own?
Yes, you can! If you read well, have some travel experience, use common sense and in addition to all the information sources like Google and social media, you can also buy a good travel guide book. A travel guide, like the Bradt guide Ghana, provides practical information, but also a lot of details. From experience I know that during a trip through Ghana you can not only rely on Google maps.
Patricia welcomed us warmly in her guesthouse.
The rooms are tastefully decorated, with a cozy mosquito net. We had a private bathroom.
No diet or diet is too much to ask for Patricia. The meals were delicious.
The Ashanti tour took us to beautiful places and it was nice that everything was included in the price.
Organised Ghana tours
Patricia has almost 20 years of travel experience in Ghanaian anytime and loves to put this experience into practice. Moon&Star guesthouse has been organizing beautiful Ghana trips for 9 years now. We show you the highlights, but we also take you off the beaten track.
3,4 or 5 day Ashanti tours
We offer fully arranged tours through ‘our’ part of the undiscovered Ashanti region. Our tours are easy to combine with any other travel plans in Ghana that you might have.

Discover Ashanti over the weekend! We organise active cultural or nature weekend trips in Ashanti.
Every 1st and 3rd weekend you can join the cultural weekend and every 2th and last weekend of the month you can sign up for a nature weekend.
We had the pleasure of organizing the Ghana tour that Nick & Iris made early this year. This beautiful video was their way of saying they enjoyed Ghana a lot!
“Amazing place. Locally and friendly. Pat manages everything very well and makes sure the food is amazing and in line with your diet. The guys that work there are very friendly and helpful. They even went hiking with me in the extreme heat. Rooms are nice and there is a very peaceful common area.”

Being sick is already no fun. Let alone getting sick in Ghana. All those scary diseases in Africa! And are there any good hospitals and medicines? In this blog I will tell you more about health care in Ghana and I will also give some tips for when you unexpectedly get sick. I am not a doctor, let that be clear. But I do have over 20 years of Ghana experience. I’ve had malaria and typhoid fever before, delivered 2 children and underwent surgery in quite a local hospital.
