I’m sick in Ghana!? Help, now what to do?
Being sick is already no fun. Let alone getting sick in Ghana. All those scary diseases in Africa! And are there any good hospitals and medicines? In this blog I will tell you more about health care in Ghana and I will also give some tips for when you unexpectedly get sick. I am not a doctor, let that be clear. But I do have over 20 years of Ghana experience. I’ve had malaria and typhoid fever before, delivered 2 children and underwent surgery in quite a local hospital.

Kwahu mountains in Ghana; so much more than paragliding during Easter festival
You may have heard of the Kwahu Mountains or the Kwahu Plateau. Around Easter, it is usually very busy because of a festival and you can enjoy paragliding from the Odweanoma Paragliding field. Kwahu is a district in the Eastern region and its capital is Nkawkaw. The mountains you see around Kumawu in Ashanti are the foothills of the Kwahu Plateau.
I usually write articles about the undiscovered places in the Ashanti region around Moon&Star guesthouse. But this year, I’d like to highlight other beautiful off-the-beaten-track places as well. Starting with Kwahu in this blog.
